Practice Charter

Our Charter sets out the standards to which we are working. It is our commitment to provide a quality service and care to all our patients. This can only be achieved by working together and by having a clear understanding of each others needs.

We respect the need for privacy and all records or information regarding each individual patient will be kept completely confidential. Please note that all patients are entitled to have access to their written and computerised health records within the limitations of the law.

All patients are able to express a preference of their own choice of a General Practitioner within the surgery.

We provide high quality care to all our patients regardless of race, sex, religion, gender, physical or mental well being, age also equality and diversity. We are here to offer emotional support, empathy and respect and we encourage our patients to make informed choices about their own health needs and for those that they care for.

The Practice will provide and maintain premises which are clean and comfortable and easily accessible to all its patients.

Patients who wish to speak privately to staff are be able to do so.

We aim to see all patients at the time of their booked appointment. However, delays outside our control can occur because of emergencies. We will inform patients if it is anticipated that they will have a long wait.

We will make every effort to provide patients with full information about the services we offer through our care navigation team, practice website, practice booklet and by posters and signs in the surgeries.

We will undertake to provide a programme of health promotion and education.

We are committed to a process of continuing development and training for all staff at the practices.

Calls may be recorded for training and quality purposes.
