Holiday Vaccinations

Holiday Travel Vaccinations.

If you are going abroad for your holiday this year. You may need to be vaccinated against some serious diseases and given travel advice.

Travel Vaccinations:

You can find out which travel vaccinations you need if any, by completing a (Holiday Vaccination Questionnaire). You can obtain one of these from the reception staff at the surgery at either site. Please complete the questionnaire fully and hand it back to reception staff at either surgery site. The Practice Nurses will assess your form and will advise you which injections you will need. An appointment will be made for you and the practice nurse will administer the vaccinations and offer travel advice.

Remember it is always better to be safe, never take for granted your health. Do not think that you will not need vaccinating. Also remember in some countries you will also need to take malaria medication.

Malaria is for life and not just your holiday.

Holiday Tips:

When travelling home or abroad take with you a fully stocked First Aid Kit.

Always use condoms

Always use bottle water

Factor 30 Suntan lotion.

Cover up, wear a hat.

Always take paracetamol, diarrhoea medication, rehydration preparations.
